Welcome to Religious Education at St Pius X,
South Yarmouth
Please remember that this office, in fact the whole program, exists to
assist you in your role as the primary religious educators of your
children. Do not hesitate to call (508-394-0709) if we can help you in
any way. The office is generally open Mon-Thur.10:00 AM- 4:00 PM and
during scheduled class time.
Listed below are some points of general information for all families.
REGULAR MASS ATTENDANCE
is part of the religious education of all children.
ATTENDANCE
is vital at all scheduled classes. Children may make up work missed due
to illness. When possible, teachers will send home the lessons missed
after the child returns to class. Parents should go over the lesson
with the child, sign the homework page and return it to the teacher.
Please call if your child will be absent.
Class time is limited, so please make every effort to see that your
child arrives on time. Please pick up your child promptly at dismissal.
If your child has to be dismissed before the end of class please come
into the building and meet your child at the attendance desk. Children
will not be allowed to wait outside.
Only a few parents meetings are scheduled each year, usually with an
alternative date. Please consider these meetings an integral part of
your child’s religious education and make every effort to attend.
CANCELLATIONS/
ALERTNOW
We will use the AlertNow phone system if we need to cancel classes.
When the D/Y school system is closed or dismisses early, Religious
Education is cancelled for the rest of that day.
