If you have a child entering first grade religious education (or any other grade for the first time) in September, please call the Religious Education office 508-394-0709 or email at email@example.com and leave your name and address to receive registration information in the late summer. A baptismal certificate, for those children not baptized at St. Pius X, and a parish registration form are required before children can attend classes.
Please remember that this office, in fact the whole program, exists to assist you in your role as the primary religious educators of your children. Do not hesitate to call or email if we can help you in any way. The office is generally open Monday through Thursday 10:00 AM- 4:00 PM and during scheduled class time.
Listed below are some points of general information for all families. Regular Mass Attendance is part of the religious education of all children.
Attendance is vital at all scheduled classes. Class time is limited, so please make every effort to see that your child arrives on time. Please call the office if your child will be absent. Children may make up work missed due to illness. Teachers will send home the lessons that were missed when the child returns to class. Parents should go over the lesson with the child and return it to the teacher as soon as possible. Please your child up promptly at dismissal. If your child must be dismissed before the end of class, please come into the building and sign your child out at the attendance desk; children will not be allowed to wait outside while classes are in session. Only a few parents meetings are scheduled each year, usually with an alternate date. Please consider these meetings an integral part of your child’s religious education and make every effort to attend.
Cancellations/Blackboard Connect We will use the Blackboard Connect phone system if we need to cancel classes. When the D/Y school system is closed or dismisses early, Religious Education cancels at that time. The full schedule of classes and events can be found on the Calendar.

HAIL MARY Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen
ACT OF CONTRITION My God I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with Your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, Have Mercy.

SIGN OF THE CROSS Please make sure your child knows how to “make” the Sign of the Cross as well as recite the words – In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
