The 84th Catholic Appeal
“Hope Lights the Way”
The 84th Annual Catholic Appeal began May 1. Since 1942, the Appeal has helped people in all phases of life – from children, to youth, to parents, to the elderly. Gifts to the Catholic Appeal sustain the work of our Diocese, including numerous agencies, programs, and ministries providing food and shelter, educating children and adults, and meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of thousands.
This year’s Annual Catholic Appeal theme reminds us that when the Holy Spirit acts through us, we can change the world. It is our responsibility to care for others and each year, our gifts to the Catholic Appeal do just that: offering physical, emotional, and spiritual sustenance to tens of thousands in their moments of need, weakness, and uncertainty. There is evidence of the impact of the Catholic Appeal everywhere in our diocese.
The Appeal:
• Combats homelessness on our city streets…
• Eliminates loneliness and fear in hospital rooms…
• Shines the light of Christ in our schools and churches…
• Bolsters men on their journey to the priesthood…
• Strengthens families seated around dinner tables.
We encourage you to support the Appeal as generously as you can. You can make a one-time gift or a pledge with convenient payments throughout the year. You can give by mail, use a contribution card located in church, or make your gift or pledge online at:
