Mental Health and Wellness Ministry

General Information
The Parish Mission Statement will be coming soon.
Our mission is to provide lay support, education, and awareness to our parish and community on issues related to mental health. We seek to break down social stigma surrounding mental health challenges, provide information, local resources, educational and spiritual support. Team members will not function in a professional capacity and do not provide services that can only be offered by medical or social work practitioners. When you contact the Parish office at (508)398-2248, you will be connected with a licensed Mental Health & Wellness Ministry volunteer who will contact you by text or phone.
What is Mental Health?
Mental health is a state of well-being in which a person realizes one’s abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to contribute to society.
What is a Mental Health Challenge?
Mental health challenges occur when one has a major change in the way a person feels, thinks, or behaves. These challenges involve worsening signs or symptoms that may place a person in crisis and interfere with daily life. A formal diagnosis is not required for someone to experience a mental health challenge.
