Law 188
Many thanks to everyone who answered the Bishop’s request to sign the petition to repeal Law 188, the new law enacted that permits full-term abortion without any medical restrictions. Here at St. Pius, we collected approximately 600 of the nearly 100,000 signatures that were collected statewide. That DOUBLED what was needed to get the issue on the ballot in 2028, and it also suspend the law until the ballot vote. Please see the letter from Bishop da Cunha below.
